Why Fibre?

100x Faster

Fibre is the fastest technology for internet access. We bring fibre directly into your home with speeds up to 1Gbps. Our whole network is fibre, all the way between you and the internet. Get ready to be happy!

HD Entertainment

Fibre makes high quality home entertainment services a reality. Experience video streaming services without any buffering or delays. Get the full benefit on services like Apple TV, Netflix and ShowMax. Video conferencing, high quality Skype and remote working also become a reality in fibre connected homes.

Open Access

Octotel operates a fully Open Access Network. This gives you the benefits of future price reductions and the best service levels, without a lock-in to a single Internet Service Provider (ISP).We never compete with the ISPs on our network. We just provide fibre. ISPs provide data and voice services. You get a single invoice from your ISP of choice, which includes our fibre line rental service.

*Open Access networks are different to the wholesale ADSL and fibre networks South Africa has had in the past. For a network to be truly Open Access, the infrastructure provider must not compete with the service providers on the network. It’s all about neutrality and a level playing field. Read more here.
