Q: HOW HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE BEEN SO FAR IN THE LEARNERSHIP + INTERNSHIP PROGRAM WITH OCTOTEL?

Inganathi: The Octotel Internship Program has been immensely rewarding and enriching for me. Even with the challenges I come across, I wouldn’t trade the opportunity as those challenges shaped me to be a catalyst of my own personal growth.

Siphokazi: My experience has been insightful with the Octotel Learnership Program. I have gained so much knowledge and experience over the past few months. The experience is something I will carry with me as the start of my career.

 

 

 

Q: WHAT SPECIFIC SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE HAVE YOU GAINED DURING YOUR TIME IN THE PROGRAM?

Inganathi: My communication skills have improved, I have learned what it means to effectively listen to others, I have improved my ability to solve problems, and I have learned a great deal about Human Resources, Learning and Development, and Talent Acquisition.

Siphokazi: A selection of my skills include time management, listening skills, a better understanding of business culture, communication skills, teamwork and the way I interact with others as a member of a team. I have also gained a greater understanding of how the world of work operates, and this has affected my behavior as an individual.

 

 

 

Q: HOW DO YOU THINK THIS PROGRAM WILL IMPACT YOUR FUTURE CAREER PROSPECTS?

Inganathi: With the practical experience, industry knowledge, and networking opportunities this program will provide me, I think it will significantly improve my chances of landing a good job in the future.

Siphokazi: I will know what to look for in a company, as Octotel has displayed a good picture of amazing company culture. With that being said, I will hold this moving forward.

 

 

 

Q: CAN YOU SHARE ANY MEMORABLE MOMENTS OR EXPERIENCES FROM YOUR TRAINING + MENTORSHIP?

Inganathi: The most memorable experience I have had is when I successfully hired my first recruit at Octotel. It was a great milestone in my professional career, one that I will cherish forever.

Siphokazi: I have many wonderful memories of my time with the Support Team. The one that stands out is definitely when the team bought me seafood, and that was the first time I had sushi in my entire life.

 

 

 

Q: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO OCTOTEL & STAFF?

Inganathi: I want to sincerely thank Octotel and its employees for all of their help, support, and mentoring during this program. Your commitment to developing young talent is absolutely admirable.

Siphokazi: I would like to thank Octotel and the staff for their love and support. They made me enjoy every moment in the company and helped me grow as a person. I really appreciate each and every one of you guys
